Pacific Star

Product Description: This Miniature Pacific Star medal is made from lead-free pewter that is 22ct gold plated. It is supplied with approximately 9cm of ribbon. The medal is mounted on a fold-over information card that has an image of HMS Indefatigable on the front and has historical information about the medal and cover image on the reverse.

Information: This medal was awarded for operational service in the Pacific theatre of war from 8th December 1941 to 15th August 1945. Service with the Royal and Merchant navies in the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and South China Sea and land service in these areas also qualified.

Cover Image – HMS Indefatigable was an aircraft carrier serving with the British Pacific fleet. Aircraft carriers had a full-length flight deck for launching and recovering aircraft, elevators to move the aircraft to and from the hangers and some had an armoured flight deck to allow carriers to survive prolonged bombing.
