Product Description: This Roman Torc Bracelet is made from metal that is gold plated. The bracelet is fixed in size and cannot be expanded. The bracelet is supplied with an information card that depicts an image of a Roman mosaic on the front and describes about Roman torc’s and the mosaic image on the reverse.

Information: Torcs were worn around the neck, the upper arm or the wrist in Roman times. This torc is the Roman equivalent of our modern bangle.

The image on the front of this card is of Actaeon and is part of the Four Seasons mosaic from the 1st century pavement found in the remains of a Roman town house in Dyer Street, Cirencester in 1849. Actaeon, a figure from Greek mythology, was punished for spying on the goddess Diana bathing and was turned into a stag and eaten by his hunting dogs.
