Mini Roman Mouse

Product Description: This 3.5cm tall Roman Mouse is made from resin that is painted with an antique bronze finish. It is supplied with a full-colour information card that has an image of a Roman mouse taken from a mosaic. There is also historical information which explains how mice were often featured in Roman sculptures. The mouse and folded card are supplied in a clear box.

Information: Small bronze mice were frequently featured in Roman sculptures. They are often depicted nibbling at a morsel of food and these models served as protective figures to guard food stores. This decorative model is based on an original c.2nd century AD.

This sculpture is from part of a range of beautifully detailed miniature models. Dating from early Egyptian times this range covers sculptures of animals, birds, famous statues, Emperors and Kings and Queens.
