Double Headed Snake Ring - Pewter

Product Description: This Roman Double-Headed Snake Ring is made from lead-free pewter and is made up of two snakes connected side-by-side by their noses. The ring size can be changed to make it larger or smaller. The ring is supplied in a clear blister mounted to an information card. The information card depicts a Roman mosaic on the front and describes how the snake ring was popular with the Romans on the reverse.

Information: The snake ring design was very popular with the Romans during the first century AD. Jewellery was made from a range of metals including gold, silver, copper alloys and iron, although many of the finer gold and silver items would have been imported.
