Product Description: This Neolithic pendant is made from lead-free pewter and has a stag on one side and a hunter on the other. The Neolithic pendant is supplied on a waxed cord. The pendant is mounted on an information card, which explains about the Neolithic period.

Information: The Neolithic period was the period of domestication of plants and animals. Using stone axes the farmers began clearing the forests that covered England. They grew crops of wheat and barley and they raised herds of cattle, pigs, goats and sheep.

As well as farming, they also hunted animals such as deer, horse, wild boar and smaller animals such as beavers, badgers and hares. They also gathered fruit and nuts.

During the later Neolithic Period (C.2900 BC – C.2200 BC) new enclosures, called henges were build, along with stone rows and the famous sites of Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill reached their peak.
