The pendant is mounted on an information card, which has an Egyptian image on the front and on the reverse describes what a cartouche is as well as information on Tutankhamun and Cleopatra.

Information: A cartouche was an oblong enclosure with a horizontal line at one end, indicating that the text enclosed within it was a royal name.

Tutankhamun was the twelfth Pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty and ruled between 1333 BC – 1324 BC. His original name, Tutankhaten, means “Living Image of Aten”, while Tutankhamun means “Living Image of Amun”.

Cleopatra VII (b. 69 BC) was the last effective pharaoh of Egypt's Ptolemaic dynasty. She reigned from 51 BC - 30 BC.
